Amazon Seller Reinstatement Support ("we" below) is not an official Amazon contact channel and has no ownership or partnership relationship with Amazon. This article is for sellers who have received a suspension notice and are wondering "when can I get back?"
To give the answer first: no number of days such as "reinstated in X days" that applies to every suspension has been officially stated. What official Help gives are guidelines for how long a response to an appeal or a review of documents takes, not an indication of when you will be reinstated. Later in this article, we also describe the trend when you engage us. Whether your account can be reinstated is decided by Amazon, and we cannot promise reinstatement or a number of days.
This article is based on our explanatory articles (which draw on Help and other sources we checked as of September 2026) and on Seller Central's official Help, which we checked on October 17, 2026. Policies and screens can change, so please also check the notice you received and the latest Help.
Our role is to prepare submission drafts and advise on revisions. You log in to your account and handle appeals and submissions to Amazon yourself.
The numbers of days in official Help are guidelines for a "response" or a "review"
The following table shows the numbers of days stated in official Help and in our articles for each procedure. All of them are guidelines for a response or a review, not a promise of when you will be reinstated or of the result. If the notice you received states a schedule or a deadline, that takes priority.
| Procedure | Guideline for a "response or review" stated in official Help or our articles | What the number of days refers to |
|---|---|---|
| Account suspension appeal (Reactivate Your Selling Account (出品用アカウントの再開)) | Up to about two days for a response | Until a response arrives from Amazon (it may be a reply asking for more information). Not when you will be reinstated |
| Seller Performance review (verification triggered by a change of address, bank account, etc.) | Up to 2 business days from when documents are received | A review of documents. You cannot list until it is complete |
| Identity verification during registration | Up to 2 business days (Help) / about 3 business days (official site) | A review for identity verification. Since there are two figures, treat it as a few business days |
| Selling approval (listing application) | 2–7 business days | A review of the application |
| Installment Sales Act (割賦販売法) review | Roughly 2 days (official site) | A merchant review. If there is no problem, you will not be contacted |
| Seller-fulfilled shipping review | Within 30 days | The review period. Once delivery is confirmed, your listings are restored automatically |
| Seller Challenge (セラーチャレンジ) (only for sellers enrolled in Account Health Assurance) | Amazon's goal is to respond within 48 hours | A detailed review of a listing-level action. It cannot be used for an account suspension |
Help states that your Account Health Rating is updated within a few hours once your response to a violation has been confirmed. This describes how the rating screen is updated; it does not indicate when a suspended account will be reinstated. There is also an example in which Amazon staff answered that, if the screen does not change even after approval, it can take up to about 24 hours to be reflected.
Don't confuse them with the number of days in a "deadline"
Around a suspension, apart from the guidelines for a review, there are also numbers of days that are deadlines for the seller to act. Please don't misread these as "how many days until I get back."

| Number of days | What it refers to |
|---|---|
| 3 days | The grace period, after a Critical violation appears, for addressing it before a suspension |
| 72 hours | The deadline for a seller enrolled in Account Health Assurance to respond to contact from Amazon |
| 7 days | For a breach of a material provision of the agreement, the period from a notice asking you to cure it until you cure it |
| 90 days | The standard period of a hold on sales proceeds (it may be extended) |
As far as we have confirmed, there is no case in which Amazon has officially stated that "the review finishes within 72 hours" or that "things automatically return to normal after 72 hours." It is also not stated that your sales proceeds will be paid automatically after 90 days.
The trend when you engage us
In cases where clients have engaged us, the trend is that reinstatement often comes about 3 days after engagement. However, it can take longer depending on the cause of the suspension and the circumstances. This is the trend so far, not a promise of reinstatement or of a number of days. Reinstatement is sometimes not achieved with a single submission, and several submissions may be needed.
For cases where reinstatement or warning removal is considered difficult, we will tell you before you engage us, as far as we know at that point.
When it takes longer
In cases like the following, things may not move forward even after the guideline number of days has passed.
- You have not answered an additional request: If an unanswered request remains in View Account Health Requests (アカウント健全性の要請を見る) or "Next Steps," the case is waiting on your action, not on Amazon's.
- A notice has not reached you: Notices may be going to an address you no longer use, so you may not have noticed a request.
- You are resubmitting after a rejection: Check the reason for the rejection, and resubmit after adding the facts or documents that were missing. Sending the same text again does not fill in what was missing.
- Your documents do not meet the conditions: Documents whose name or address does not match your registration information lead to rejection or a request to resubmit.
- A problem with an overseas account or a related account comes first: When the suspension of an account in another country is involved, there is an example of Amazon staff answering on the Seller Forums that in most cases the original account is reinstated first and the procedure in Japan follows. There is also an example of guidance saying it can take several days to be reflected.
- You cannot book a video interview: Sellers have posted that no dates are available to book in the Japanese-language slots. Keep a record of the booking screen and explain the situation in a case.
- You are stuck at the login stage: Identity verification when you cannot change your Two-Step Verification settings can take up to 48 hours to complete.
If you can't tell whether the guideline number of days has passed or whether things are waiting on you, you can send us the text of the notice you have received on LINE (see the consultation box at the end of this article).
What to do, and not do, while you wait
Even while you wait, you can move ahead with the following.

- Ship unshipped orders and update the tracking information
- Save your notifications (the Notification Center shows only the past 30 days)
- Check that a reachable phone number is registered for emergency notifications in Notification Preferences (通知設定)
- Record, in chronological order, the date you received each notice, the date you submitted, what you submitted, case IDs, and expected dates
On the other hand, please don't do the following out of a wish to get back quickly.
- Sending the same documents again and again: Help cautions against repeated submissions before enough time has passed and against resubmitting inaccurate documents.
- Opening more cases for the same issue: The basic rule is one case per issue.
- Continuing to sell with a new account: If you have a suspended account, you do not fall under the exception to the one-account-per-region rule.
Frequently asked questions
Q. How many days after a suspension does it take for an Amazon account to be reinstated?
A. No number of days that applies to every suspension has been officially stated. What official Help gives are guidelines for each procedure, such as up to about two days for a response to an appeal and up to 2 business days for a review of documents. If you engage us, reinstatement often comes about 3 days after engagement, but it can take longer depending on the cause and circumstances.
Q. It has been two days since my appeal, and I haven't heard back.
A. "Up to about two days" is a guideline for receiving a response. Check whether a response or an additional request has arrived in Performance Notifications, and whether your appeal shows as submitted. If there are no unanswered requests on the screen either, check the status in a case before resending the same content. Professional sellers can also contact Account Health Support.
Q. The notice said "review within 72 hours." Will my account be back in 72 hours?
A. As far as we have confirmed, there is no case in which Amazon has officially stated that "the review finishes within 72 hours" or that "things automatically go back after 72 hours." Read the text of the notice to tell whether those 72 hours are a deadline for you to act or a guideline on Amazon's side.
Q. Will the review go faster if I contact Amazon by phone?
A. As far as we have confirmed, Help contains no explanation that a phone call speeds up a review. Having your case passed to a higher-level representative is also not something the seller can specify. What you can do yourself is check what is missing and submit what is requested early.
Q. Once my account is reinstated, will my sales proceeds be paid right away?
A. A hold on sales proceeds is generally 90 days and may be extended, and it is not stated that the funds will be paid if you just wait. The procedure for requesting payment proceeds separately from the appeal for reinstatement.
Q. How many times can I submit an appeal?
A. No official standard has been given for the number of days or the number of times you may resubmit. If there is an additional request, answer it; if your appeal is rejected, check the reason and resubmit after adding the facts or documents that were missing.
Q. It has been "under review" for weeks.
A. First, check whether the case is waiting on you. Look at whether any requests remain in "Next Steps" or View Account Health Requests, and whether notices are going to your current address. If there are no requests and the guideline period has passed, ask about the status within the existing case for the same issue.
Summary
- No "reinstated in X days" that applies to every suspension has been officially stated.
- The numbers of days in official Help are guidelines, such as for a response to an appeal (up to about two days) or a review of documents (up to 2 business days), not when you will be reinstated.

- Even when you engage us, it can take longer depending on the cause and circumstances, and we do not promise a number of days.
- When it takes longer, first check for unanswered requests, notices that have not reached you, the reason for any rejection, and related accounts.
